Which scores count towards your League position? 

Rest of the World Club Swingers

The six best stroke play, stableford* or Match Play submissions count as qualifying points for the competition and towards Leaderboard positions.

*If submitting a Stableford score, you must provide details of the gross score on each hole so we may calculate any amendment to the Stableford points based on your Swingers handicap.

Rest of the World Fun Swingers

The six best stroke play or Match Play submissions count as qualifying points for the competition and towards Leaderboard positions.

Europe Club Swingers

The six best Medal, Stableford or Match Play submissions count as qualifying points for the competition and towards Leaderboard positions.

Europe Fun Swingers

The six best Fun Rounds or Match Play submissions count as qualifying points for the competition and towards Leaderboard positions.

Total Golf League Points

The player's total golf league points are the sum of the six best qualifying points. To qualify for the final, you must have submitted six valid scores.

Match Play Points

Match Play wins are awarded 2 points, Match Play halves (draws) are awarded 1 point.

Corporate & Society Days

Please note in Season 9, only Swingers Society Day and Flying Club Gold Member Day scores can count towards your final golf league points. All other Society or Corporate Day scores can be submitted through the Earn Bonus Points section to qualify for 1 bonus point.

How do bonus points affect your League position? 

Total bonus points are used to decide a player's league placing where golf league points are tied. 

If you are tied on golf league points and bonus points, your final leaderboard position will be determined by the number of verified scores entered. If you are tied on golf league points, bonus points, and number of verified scores entered, the value of your first score will determine your position.

Who qualifies for the Final? 

At the end of our Season the top 12 Rest of the World Swingers and the top 10 European Swingers* will compete in a Rest of the World v Europe Team Final at Turnberry Isle Hotel & Resort in Miami, Florida between 5 and 8 November 2012.

The final will consist of foursomes on day one, fourball matches on day two and Singles matches on day three, where one point will be awarded for a match won, and half a point for a match drawn. Scores from all three days will be combined to determine the overall winning team.

All European Club Swingers with official handicaps will need to provide a current handicap certificate. Rest of the World Swingers will play off their Swingers handicap which is based on all the scores submitted during the season. 

*The 12 European Team Final places will be made up of 2 Flying Club Gold members qualifying from Gold member invitational events, together with 10 Swingers from the European Club and Fun leaderboard – the split between each league will be based on the number of active members and can be viewed here. The 12 ROW Team Final places will be made up of 12 Swingers from the ROW Club and Fun leaderboard – the split between each league will be based on the number of active members in each league and can be viewed here.

Any Flying Club member can register for, and take part in Swingers and enjoy the thrill of entering scores, meeting and playing other Swingers and climbing the leaderboard. However in order to qualify for a place in the 2012 Rest of the World vs Europe Final, Swingers must have completed a minimum of one Virgin Atlantic return flight earning activity within 12 months of the prize being awarded (between 11 October 2011 – 8 October 2012) and this activity must be credited to their Flying Club account by the close of the season. To qualify for any other prizes, Swingers must have a Virgin Atlantic Flying Club or Partner earning activity credited to their Flying Club account, at the time of the prize being awarded and this activity must be no more than 1 calendar year old.
