Leading golf apparel brand Glenmuir have announced a comprehensive new collection for Autumn/Winter 2010 of more than 700 different product and colour combinations, with 18 brand new products and a significant focus on performance golfwear for Men and Ladies.

The renowned Scotland-based company, which is also the European distributor for Sunderland weatherwear, continues to lead the way in innovative golfwear and introduces 12 new shirts, sweaters and wind tops for men and six new shirts, lambswool sweaters and performance fleeces for women in a collection full of quality products and designs and rich autumnal colours perfect for the season.

Glenmuir's Men’s Performance & Trend golf clothing, which use specifically designed 'smart fabrics', are ideal for layering, grows in popularity every year and for Autumn/Winter 2010 this ever-expanding category includes four new sweaters, two new wind tops and a new long-sleeve shirt.

The ‘Arctic’ and ‘Atlantic’ merino/acrylic lined sweaters feature a new Bionic-Finish® - a more ecologically sound water, oil and soil-repellent finish which uses nanotechnology to form a flexible 'skin' on the surface of the garment - and the end result is two superb breathable, washable but weatherproof lined sweaters in zip (RRP £70) and round neck (RRP £66.25), designs.

Glenmuir also introduces lambswool blend knitwear to the Performance & Trend range for the first time in the stylish 'Neath' and 'Wrexham' designs, resilient products with contemporary stripes and contrast side panels and featuring the Glenmuir 1891 logo with RRPs of £63.

For golfers looking for a lightweight and rain resistant wind top, the new triple-layered 'Bala' (RRP £73.60) Storm Bloc® bonded fleece incorporates a waterproof mid layer with a warm fleece inner and tight-knit outer layer, while the 'Snowdon' lined Storm Bloc® wind top uses supersoft Supima® cotton for a gorgeous soft and luxurious feel with an RRP of £63.

Glenmuir has enjoyed phenomenal success with its Performance Shirts in recent years and this season there is a long-sleeve, zip neck, mock collar addition. The 'Tenby' (RRP £39) boasts the acclaimed Hi-Cool® moisture management system to keep golfers warm and comfortable and is available in three solid colours with smart contrast piping.

Knitwear continues to be a bedrock of the 119-year Glenmuir success story and the Men's 1891 Classic Collection has been updated to include a new zip-front, contemporary cardigan, sweater and slipover in the Fashion Lambswool range, all in complementary colours and 100% washable lambswool.

The 'Camarthen' cardigan (RRP £71.25) features smart contrast, colour styling on the sleeve seams, neck rib and zip, while the zip-neck 'Cradoc' sweater (RRP £71.25) boasts a stylish diamond intarsia design on the sleeve. The new 'Glamorgan' slipover (RRP £60) is characterised by a diamond intarsia front panel and is available in the latest autumn colourways.

Glenmuir has designed a fabulous new interlock fabric to the Men's Luxury Shirts range - Supima® cotton with a special finish - which gives a superb drape and handle to the new 'Rhyl' and 'Gwent' shirts. The former is top quality solid colour, long-sleeve shirt (RRP £42) while the short-sleeve latter (RRP £42) is available in three narrow horizontal stripe designs.

Elsewhere, among a comprehensive Glenmuir Ladies' Collection, a revamped Fashion Lambswool range features three new products in a lightweight 21g lambswool for golfers who want a combination of warmth and ultimate wearability.

The 'Glenda' zip front cardigan (RRP £70) has a subtle stripe design, the scoop neck slipover 'Guinevere' (RRP £63) has a stunning multi-coloured diamond intarsia front panel, while the v-neck 'Dilys' (RRP £70) features a contemporary and stylish diamond raker front.

The fourth of the new fashion sweaters, 'Bronwyn' (RRP £63) has been knitted a little heavier, making it ideal for those chillier days, and has elegant ribbed detailing on the collar, body and sleeves.

Ladies Performance golf clothing has also been a successful category for Glenmuir and two new products have been added for the season.

The long-sleeve 'Cerys' shaped-fit shirt features the Hi-Cool® moisture management system and is available in three solid colour choices with panelling detail on the sleeves and body, priced (RRP £38).

Players seeking extra warmth and protection from winter weather without reverting to full waterproofs, will enjoy the new triple-layered 'Mia' Storm Bloc® bonded fleece (RRP £60), which incorporates tight-knit outer layer with a waterproof mid layer and warm fleece inner.

Glenmuir Men’s and Ladies clothing is available in three new colour palettes for Autumn/Winter 2010 – New England Fall (earthy greens, browns and creams); Northern Skies (cool black, greys and white with a lilac highlight); and Blue Stone (contemporary blues and neutrals).
