What's it all about?

What's it all about?

This season, the league runs from Saturday 27 February 2010 until Friday 20 August 2010.

Choosing Europe or the Rest of the World

If you register as a European Swinger you must currently reside in Europe and have a European correspondence address. If you reside outside of Europe, you should register as a Rest of the World Swinger.

Choosing a League

If you register as a Rest of the World Swinger you can submit casual and competition stroke play rounds from your local club*, Corporate/Society Golf Days (only your one best Corporate/Society score will count towards your total points) and Match Plays against other Flying Club Swingers.

*all scorecards or other forms of verification must indicate gross strokes

If you register as a European Club Swinger you can submit scores from Club Competitions - both Medal and Stableford, Corporate/Society Days (only your one best Corporate/Society score will count towards your total points) and Match Plays against other Flying Club Swingers.

If you register as a European Fun Swinger you can submit scores from fun rounds with your friends, Corporate/Society Days (only your one best Corporate/Society score will count towards your total points) and Match Plays against other Flying Club Swingers.

Once you have nominated your region and league choice, you will be unable to change for the remainder of the Season.

Handicaps

Rest of the World Swingers will be allocated a fun handicap based on the scores they enter which will be updated throughout the Season. The fun handicap will be calculated using the United Kingdom’s CONGU Unified Handicapping System (www.congu.com).

European players with official handicaps who do not wish to enter club competition scores may register as Fun Swingers but they will also be allocated a fun handicap based on the scores they enter which will be updated throughout the Season. The fun handicap will be calculated using the United Kingdom’s CONGU Unified Handicapping System (www.congu.com).

European Players with official handicaps who register as Club Swingers will use their official club handicaps when entering scores. These will be checked with the relevant clubs.

European Players without official handicaps must register as Fun Swingers.

Please note if you are a returning Rest of the World Swinger or European Fun Swinger, your starting handicap should be no more than 3 shots higher than your finishing fun handicap in Season Six.

Please note this season, if you are a European Fun or Rest of the World Swinger with your own official handicap, should you qualify for the final, you will be entitled to use your own handicap rather than your fun handicap (subject to verification).

Scores will be accepted online from matches played from Saturday 27 February onwards. All scores must be submitted with cards (if requested) within one calendar month of the date of the round, unless otherwise stated.

Please note all scores must be submitted online. We cannot accept scores in the post or by fax unless they have been submitted online first.
