Welcome to the ‘Team US’ page.

We are pleased to announce that the US Captain at the Final will be Virgin Atlantic’s Senior Vice President, North America, Chris Rossi. Chris will provide regular updates on the Team US page throughout the Season, and of course will be responsible for the all important pairings and team order come September.

When I was asked to lead the US team in this year’s inaugural US v Europe Swingers Final, I immediately accepted. There are very few events of this stature in amateur golf so to be able to experience just a small part of the excitement and pressure that Azinger and Faldo will be facing in Louisville this September is a real treat.

This is the first season that Virgin Atlantic in the States has been involved in Swingers and I hope that you are enjoying competing against fellow golfers from all over the US. Although the number of US Swingers is not yet on the scale of Europe who have been running this event for five seasons now, we expect this to change as news spreads about both the league and the fantastic final in September.

If you haven’t yet played golf in Southern California, September is going to blow your mind! Sunshine (hopefully!), some of the best scenery in golf, and one of the best resorts in the US together with an opportunity to put one over on Europe are just some of the reasons why you need to qualify!  As the number of US Swingers increase so will the competition, so it’s important to get your scores in whilst you can. Of course, competition is great news for the final team and although I expect it to be a close affair in September, I strongly believe we will come out on top on our home turf.

Good luck!

Chris
